“Nature and Wildlife Photography”

Hello, my Name is Guido Sobbe and I have been passionate about photography since I was twelve. I am particularly fascinated by landscape and wildlife photography. The feeling of observing wild animals in their natural environment and capturing the most beautiful moments of their lives in pictures is simply indescribable. Through photography I have learned to see more consciously and experience moments much more intensely.

I currently live with my family in Germany, just north of Berlin. Besides photography, traveling is my second passion, which can be combined wonderfully. My favorite places are Norway, Uganda, Canada and the Caribbean.

I am pleased to present some of my work to you on this website and to offer it as fine art photo prints.

Equipment and processing

I clearly see digital photo technology as a blessing and don’t miss analogue cameras and the time-consuming development process one bit. Nevertheless, I am rather conservative when it comes to the actual editing. I currently use tools from DxO and Adobe Lightroom to manage and edit my photos. But I mostly limit myself to noise reduction, retouching and cropping. I want to preserve the natural character of the photo at all costs. Nature is beautiful and absolutely magnificent, there is no need to exaggerate this through too much image editing.

I have been using Canon cameras and lenses for many years. I am currently using EOS R5 cameras with various R lenses. It is incredible what details and colors can be captured with them. I have to admit, I am totally excited about this technology and the possibilities it offers.

For documentation and videographic support, I also use cameras and drones from DJI.
